[Updated] Moooooving on

bull_big.jpg This little guy escaped from his trailer today on Grandview Parkway near Toms. After wandering through various parking lots, he headed west up M-72, pursued by multiple squad cars, tv crews, and curious bystanders

I'm sure you'll see him on the news tonight. At the rate he was going, he'll be in Empire around midnight.

Update 4/20/06: The calf was eventually captured by Elmwood Township Trustee Terry Lautner, a man who has some experience with cows. The Record-Eagle has a picture.

Terry Lautner has MUCH!! experiece with cows, in case you didn't know that!!! He has owned a dairy farm for many, many years. Tell me that doesn't require "some experience with cows" get your wording straight, could it be that you don't like him. Also, 800-1000lbs is not LITTLE!!! Have you ever wrangled a steer with his mind set on going his own direction? Thank goodness for the kind Farmers (yes, farmers, those you say you support..but truthfully don't) Policemen, and others who captured this animal safely and returned him to his rightful handler. They did the right thing and called the professionals in to help! Our local dairy farmers...EXPERIENCED AND FEARLESS! I can't imagine you will print this...but I thought you needed to know how this Leelanau resident felt!
