The Pathfinder School, which provided an alternative to the public schools for some thirty years, will close, according to this Record-Eagle piece.

That's a shame. Our kids went there briefly, and we've know a bunch of fine people on the faculty and staff of Pathfinder. Kind of like the Library of Congress -- even though I had no plans to use it any time soon, I was always glad to know it was there. It will be missed.
